Farmers use individual identification to gather information and make important decisions about their livestock. Livestock often have a visual tag with their own herd number and may also have a small electronic tag with another unique number that can only be scanned one at a time, slowly and at close range. When a farmer wants to identify their animals for movement or management purposes and either of these tags is missing, dirty or not working the farmer needs a different way to identify the animal. 

We provide a visual tag that is also a low cost, passive smart tag providing another method to digitally identify many animals at once, quickly and from a safe distance. We also enable farmers to detect the presence of animals during key daily animal activities and digitally record and report on them. These activities can include drinking from a trough, accessing a lick block or eating from a feeder. Collating this data provides valuable, real-time insights that have never been available before.
